Dentures & Partials
Missing teeth can make everyday life a real challenge. Dr. Tomasik provides patients with an array of solutions to restore dental function and self-confidence.
What is a Partial Denture?
A partial denture replaces absent teeth in various parts of the upper or lower arch. It will fit like a puzzle piece with your natural teeth, providing a solid row of teeth. A durable, long-lasting dental solution, a partial is typically secured with clips or brackets. Unlike a bridge (a fixed appliance that replaces one tooth or a few teeth in a row), a partial can be removed for cleaning.
What is a Denture?
A full denture is a complete top or bottom row of teeth mounted on a gum-colored base. Traditional dentures require natural suction or adhesive to hold them in place. Still, they may slip and slide. Over time, friction between dentures and gums will wear down the ridges of the gums. When this occurs, dentures will not fit properly. They must be relined for a better fit.
