Dr. Tomasik

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Joshua Tomasik earned his doctorate of dental science (DDS) degree at Baylor College of Dentistry. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Capital Area Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.  Dr. Tomasik Continuously grows his expertise through extensive continuing education which has lately been focused in the areas of: Invisalign, cerec same-day crowns, implants, TMJ therapy and sleep dentistry.  

 

Giving back to the community as well as those who can't access dental care, is an important part of Dr. Tomasik's dedications to dentistry. He enjoys donating his time and efforts on church mission trips to countries, many in South America, where medical and dental care is desperately needed. Giving back to his local community, Dr Tomasik has helped young women through the Austin Pregnancy Resource Center have access to dental care during their pregnancy.

 

A native Texan, Dr. Tomasik feels very privileged to be a University of Texas at Austin alumni. During football season, he and his wife, Lindsay, enjoy cheering on the Longhorns at DKR stadium. He also enjoys golfing and hunting with his dad and brother. Dr. Tomasik and Lindsay have two puppies, Riley and Bella, who have an unbelievable combination of smarts and energy that keeps them entertained and busy at the same time. Dr. Tomasik and Lindsay are also proud parents of a beautiful girl, Ava, who they welcomed to the family in 2011. 

 

 

Lindsay Tomasik

You will enjoy meeting "the other half of Dr. Tomasik," his wife and office manager, Lindsay. Personable and friendly, she enjoys getting to know patients and their families. She is here to answer all of your questions and address your concerns. Contemporary computer technology allows Lindsay to quickly access information about your appointments, billing, and insurance.  

 

Lindsay is a graduate of the Univeristy of Texas at Austin and a former elementary school teacher. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking and ballet. When she and Dr. Tomasik are not in the office, they like to stay busy keeping up with their energetic daughter, Ava.

 

 

Emily

Emily has attended Texas State University, as well as Austin Community College. In 2012, she joined our team as a registered dental hygienist. She enjoys teaching our patients how to make the most of their oral health care routine at home so that they can enjoy long-term oral health and its lifetime benefits. Emily is a member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association. She and her husband, Steve, have two dogs, Sambo and Sheeba. The couple enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and catching up with family. Emily also finds time for art, sewing, and cooking.

 

 

Laura

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree at Middle Tennessee State University, Laura joined the Tomasik Family Dental team in 2012. She helps our patients with scheduling and treatment decisions, and she is certified in first aid, CPR, telemetry, and EKG. Her approach to dentistry is founded in oral-systemic health and quality of life. Laura is a member of the Lakeway Bottle of Wine Book Club. She lives with her husband and their puppy, and aside from work, Laura enjoys reading, boating, and time with her family.

 

 

Christina

In 2012, Christina joined us to assist in coordinating our front administrative office with the clinical back office. She has certification as a dental assistant with expanded functions from Allied Health Careers. Christina has a special knack for making patients feel calm and well cared for, and she sincerely enjoys building relationships with them.  She, her husband, and their three children spend time with family and friends on the weekends, and they are parents to a few finned friends, their fish.

 

 

Mariel

Mariel is our registered dental assistant. She is currently working on a degree in human biology from the University of Texas at Austin. With special training in implant dentistry, she loves helping both the hygienists and patients alike. She especially enjoys seeing happy patients receiving great dental care and witnessing their transformations.  In her free time, Mariel enjoys charity work, kayaking, running, and film projects.
